SCland Development Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alcom Group Berhad, held a Groundbreaking Ceremony for its maiden project called EMHub at Selangor Science Park 1, Kota Damansara, Selangor today.
Attended by Guests of Honour YAB Tuan Amirudin bin Shari, Menteri Besar of Selangor; YB Dato’ Teng Chang Khim, Senior Executive Councillor and Chairman of the Standing Committees for Investment, Industry & Commerce, Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) & Chairman of SITEC; YB Tuan Hee Loy Sian, Chairman of Environment, Green Technology, Consumer, & Non-Islamic Affairs Committee; Dato’ Hasan Azhari HJ. Idris, CEO of Invest Selangor Berhad; Dato’ Seri Subahan Kamal, Chairman of Alcom Group Berhad and Dato’ Tony Lim, Managing Director of SCland Development Sdn Bhd, the ceremony heralded the start of a new dawn in the Malaysian e-Commerce industry.
At the ceremony, EMHub and Emporis were jointly the first in Selangor to be awarded a provisional SITEC e-Commerce Hub Certification by YAB Tuan Amirudin bin Shari, Menteri Besar of Selangor.
With this certification, SITEC and the Selangor State Government will officially recognise the developments as being facilitative of e-Commerce activities in Malaysia, through its stellar physical infrastructure, fulfilment & distribution centre solutions, an e-Commerce friendly ecosystem, and a commitment to talent development programmes in areas of Coding, Blockchain Technology, Artificial Intelligence and many more to be conducted by the Incubator in collaboration with prestigious world- renowned universities.
